Dr. Mohammed is widely regarded as one of the world’s preeminent experts in medical genomics and a pioneer in the emerging field of functional genomics and medicine.   He has been the recipient of multiple academic and industry awards.  He is the holder of several patents in the general fields of molecular diagnostics and genomics, and is one of the most sought-after national and international conference speakers in the genre of personalized medicine, longevity and genomics.  Considered as one of the highlights of his career, Dr. Mohammed has served on the highly selective and prestigious advisory board of the Health Division of the The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) of the US government (an accomplishment that only a handful of the top scientists from around the world have been honoured with).  He was the first Director of Genomics at Quest Diagnostics, the US’s largest reference laboratory (market cap of over $19 billion).  Moreover, he was the former CEO of Combimatrix Diagnostics (CBMX), one of the first Nasdaq traded genomics diagnostics companies (under Dr. Mohammed’s stewardship, CBMX became the first Nasdaq traded company to receive a freedom to operate in the genomics diagnostics space from the FDA).  Most recently, in recognition of his contributions to medicine and global healthcare, Dr. Mohammed was granted an Ambassador Golden Visa directly from the Esteemed Office of the Ruler of Ras al Khaimah, His Highness, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr al Qasimi.
